Mirelda Wales
Registered Psychologist

Mirelda holds a Bachelor degree in Psychological Counselling, a post-graduate diploma in Education, and a post-graduate diploma in Psychology. She has experience working in private practice as a general psychologist, in public and independent schools as a school counsellor/psychologist, and as a sexual assault counsellor in community health. Mirelda is registered as a psychologist with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Mirelda is a caring, people orientated person who enjoys working with diverse populations across all ages, genders and cultures. She is experienced in current counselling techniques, and is mindful of developmental stages and respectful of cultural diversity. Mirelda strives to apply the most effective counselling technique to support mental health recovery and wellbeing in clients.

Assessments Mirelda is experienced in cognitive, behavioural and learning assessments of children, adults and adolescents e.g. ASD, ADHD & Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). Comprehensive and personalised written reports and diagnoses (where applicable), are given as part of the assessment process.

Counselling Mirelda utilises a number of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Schema Focused Therapy (SFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). During sessions, mindfulness & relaxation strategies, play therapy and other techniques are used to facilitate engagement with clients.

Location  Wollongong, in-person and telehealth.

Jeanné Roux
Registered Psychologist

Jeanné holds a Bachelor of Psychological Counselling, Honours in Psychology, and a post-graduate diploma in Education. She has experience working in private practice as a general psychologist, in public schools as a school psychologist, in multidisciplinary teams within the NDIS working with people with disabilities and their carers, various not-for-profit organisations, including children experiencing trauma and/or complex life circumstance and experiences, and refugees and asylum seekers. Jeanne is registered as a psychologist with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

 

Jeanné has a range of life and work experiences beyond the profession of psychology and is described as a compassionate, non-judgemental and understanding clinician, which makes her accessible to a wide-range of people across all ages, genders and cultures. She draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and counselling techniques, using an eclectic approach to therapy to ensure it is open, collaborative and tailored to the client’s needs.

Assessments Jeanné is experienced in comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, cognitive, behavioural and learning assessments of children and adolescents (including ASD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities), other specialised clinical assessments and professional screenings (including mood disorders, personality disorders and psychosocial disabilities). Comprehensive and personalised written reports and diagnoses (where applicable), are provided as part of the assessment process.

Isha Knill
Counsellor

Isha is Gottman trained, and currently completing a Diploma of Counselling to formalise her broad range of experience. She has gained experience over the past 15 years, assisting people in improving their relationships, both personal and from a work perspective. Isha specialises in couples counselling as an area of expertise.

 

Isha believes that relationship difficulties  can impact our ability to relate effectively with others, and can thus impact all areas of our lives.  Isha is an empathetic counsellor, interested in helping people unlock their potential, so they can lead a meaningful, relationship rich life, with themselves, their partners, their family, business partners and workplace colleagues,

 

Isha’s life and work experiences allows her to bring a unique perspective to the table when supporting her clients.  She believes people know themselves better than anyone and with the right support, they are able to live their best life.  She is described as an insightful, compassionate and humorous  counsellor who draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and counselling techniques.

 

Counselling   Isha uses a number of evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gottman Method Couples Counselling.
