Mirelda Wales

Mirelda is a registered psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults. She supports people across a range of mental health concerns, with a focus on creating a steady and approachable therapeutic space.
Mirelda holds qualifications in psychology, counselling and education, and is registered with the Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a psychologist. She has experience in a wide breadth of contexts; private practice, schools and community health settings. This allows her to provide personalised support to all her clients when conducting therapy and assessments.
In counselling, Mirelda works with anxiety, depression, mood difficulties and emotional and behaviour regualtion. Her approach draws on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Schema Focused Therapy (SFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). During sessions, mindfulness & relaxation strategies, play-related therapy and other techniques are used to facilitate engagement with clients.
Mirelda also has extensive experience conducting psychological assessments for a range of presentations including cognitive difficulties, ADHD, autism, specific learning disorders and adaptive functioning. To guide accurate diagnosis and practical recommendations, Mirelda treats each assessment from an individual perspective, and gathers a broad range of evidence and information to support assessments.
Mirelda's practice hours are Mondays to Thursdays 9am - 5pm.
Ashleigh Geldenhuys

Ashleigh is a registered psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults. She supports people across a range of mental health concerns and aims to provide a calm and approachable space for therapy. Ashleigh holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and a Master of Professional Psychology, and is registered with AHPRA.
In her therapeutic work, Ashleigh draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, interpersonal therapy and DBT-informed strategies, as well as Zones of Regulation with younger clients. She works with presentations such as anxiety, including GAD, OCD, social anxiety and specific phobias, as well as depression, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges and longstanding personality patterns.
Ashleigh has experience providing psychological assessments in both school settings and private practice in the areas which include cognitive ability, ADHD, autism, specific learning disorders and adaptive functioning.
Ashleigh is available on Mondays and Fridays from 9am to 5pm, and accepts Medicare, DVA and NDIS clients.

Keira
Keira is our welcoming Office Manager at PsyCA, always ready to make you feel seen and supported when you attend an appointment. Outside of work Keira enjoys soccer, the beach and an outdoor lifestyle. She has gained valuable experience working in a number of industries, and is skilled in supporting people of all ages. Keira is commencing her tertiary studies and is working towards becoming a primary school educator.

Receptionist (Tues & Wed)
Braith
Braith is a friendly receptionist at PsyCA, currently pursuing his studies in psychology with the goal of becoming a psychologist himself. Outside of work, he loves surfing, skateboarding and playing music. He's also a bartender, and loves to have a conversation with clients and make them a nice warm cup of joe. Braith is always happy to greet you and make your visit a warm and welcoming experience!
